Coach Dyson is originally from Irving, TX and where she played softball at Nimitz High School. As a senior at Nimitz High, she led her team to the Regional Finals as the pitcher for the Lady Vikings. Following high school, she pitched for Grayson County Junior College for two years. Upon graduation from Grayson County Junior College she transferred to East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma where she finished her collegiate softball career as a player and as an assistant with the coaching staff.
Following her collegiate career, Coach Dyson began teaching Special Education at Centennial High School in 2007. While teaching at CHS her first year, she also assisted the coaching staff at Wakeland High School.
In 2009, Coach Dyson accepted the position of Assistant Coach of softball at Centennial High School.
Her family includes her parents, Mike Dyson and Debbie Dyson, a sister, Kelli, and her malti shi, Halle Berry.
Since beginning his tenure at Centennial High School in 2007 as the Head Coach of Girl's Softball at Centennial High School, Coach Dyson has led the Titans to consecutive playoffs as well as advancing to the Regional Quarter Finals in 2009 and the Regional Finals in 2011. He has been the first Centennial softball coach to make a playoff appearance since the opening of Centennial High School in 2003 .
Coach Dyson coached at Nimitz High School in Irving, Texas prior to his arrival to Centennial High School in 2007. Coach Dyson was the Head Coach of Girl's Softball at Nimitz High School for 13 years. During his leadership at Nimitz High School, he built one the most successful softball programs in North Texas leading Nimitz High 11 out of 13 years to playoff appearances since he started the program in 1994. Coach Dyson led Nimitz to the State Tournament in Austin, Texas in 1994 and 1998.
Kristin Coffey
Assistant Coach
Kristin Coffey is beginning her first year at Centennial as an Assistant Softball coach as well as the JV Basketball Coach. She teaches Physical Education and Special Education. She graduated with a Batchelor of Science in Kinesiology and a minor in Biology from the University of North Texas in 2009. She also attended Hardin Simmons University where she played basketball before transferring to UNT. Coach Coffey was a student athlete all throughout high school. She has helped with many camps, given private softball lessons, and helped coach a fall league team. She is originally from Early, Texas where she grew up with two wonderful parents and a younger brother.
Holly Ridgeway is starting her first year of teaching and coaching at Centennial High School for the 2010-2011 school year. She graduated in December 2009 from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas. Coach Ridgeway was a student athlete all throughout high school and in college pursued a career in teaching and coaching. In addition to coaching she serves as the girl's Varsity Basketball Assistant coach. She teaches Freshman English. She is very excited about starting her professional career at Centennial and learning more about the students she teaches and coaches.
